We hope this pages will give you an impression of our Gordon Setters, of this beautiful breed in general and of our aim as breeder. So you will get enough knowledge about the Gordon Setter to be able to decide if these fascinating dogs would be a good addition to your family.
 

Our aim in breeding:  We want the Farquharson's kennel to stand for good quality, healthy dogs with strong characters.

In order to achieve these goals, we:
- visit dogshows all over Europe and even outside of Europe. At these shows the dogs beauty and movement get compared to the breed standard.
- get our dogs tested for PRA and Hip displasia. We only breed with PRA- Clear X PRA- Clear or with PRA-Carrier X PRA- Clear, although the Dutch Gordon Setter Club still allows to use PRA-Affected dogs!
For us it's important to do everything to assure that our puppybuyers take strong, healthy puppies home, which they will be able to enjoy for many years to come.
- are very picky when looking for the right stud dog to mate one of our females. For us not only his looks and his health are relevant, we're also looking for dogs with strong characters and intelligence, dogs which shouldn't show any signs of agression. Cause after all you mainly want a great companion to share your life with!
