The puppies

18th of october

The puppies are 8,5 weeks and almost ready to go to their new homes. Unfortunately the weather got cold and rainy and so we couldn't put the puppies outside as much as we would have liked to, but today the weather was ok and so we had the chance to put them outside and take some new photos

The puppies are 6,5 weeks old and doing great. We still had some lovely weather, so they got the chance to go outside and play in the garden for a couple of hours. Here are some photos.

17th of september

The puppies are 4 weeks old now and doing great. A couple are already over 3 kilos and they're starting to become real little doggies with their own characters. Whenever the weather allows it, we take them outside and it's just a pleasure to watch them explore their little world.

11th of september

Today the pups ate their puppyfood for the very first time and they just loved it. Because the weather was so lovely and the pups are really trying to get out of the puppybox now, we put them outside to enjoy the sunshine, a great opportunity for us to take some new photos.

9th of  september

The pups are 3 weeks old now and they're all doing great. They're very active and just love to play with each other and with mum. The ears and eyes are open and also the teeth came through and therefor we will start feeding them pap meals this weekend.

2nd of september

Today the puppies are 2 weeks old. Their eyes are completely open now and also their ears are opening up, although some Gordon Setter owners wonder if they're ever gonna use them, but we don't give up hope. When the puppies are not feeding or sleeping they play with each other: biting each others tails, jumping on mum and just throwing themselve on their brothers and sisters.

30th of august

The last two days a lot of new things has happened to the puppies. All 8 of them got their eyes open and you can slow see the ears starting to open aswell. They also got their nails clipped for the very first time and they can stand and walk a little on their paws now, obviously they're still very instable and therefor they still fall over quite often, but they keep practising.
Now that they're all over a kilo, we've decided that it was time for a new collar and don't thet just look great with their new accessory?

28th of august

The pups are 9 days old now and they're developing a lot just now. Since yesterday the eyes have started to open. They also gained a lot of weight, dog black has already passed one kilo and we expect more of them to follow soon. They also try to stand on their paws, it's all very instable still but they'll get better and better at it.

25th of august

The pups are 7 days  old and doing great. They're growing by the day and our biggest boy, dog black, weighs already over 800 gram. You can also see them getting stronger, they slowly start to stand on their feet and so the fight for a good place to feed is getting harder. After they had enough milk every thing gets very quiet and they go for a nap. What a life!

23th of august

We would like to introduce our pups to you.

In the table underneath you can find the names we have chosen for the puppies. Now we have to wait and see if the dutch kennel club aproves of them. If they do each name will be connected to a pup when they get their  microchip, this will be at the age of 6 weeks.

21st of august

The puppies are 3 days old now and they're just a joy to watch. They're still very young but already have their very own mind. Their mission....getting as much milk as possible and so every day a new battle starts for the best spot on mummies milk factory.

The puppies have been checked by a vet and they all seem to be in perfect health!

19th of august 2010

Today Sunsetter's Forever Young aka Dixie gave birth to 5 strong boys and 3 lovely girls. Mother and pups are doing great and although it's Dixies first litter she turned out to be a great mum.
